Leonardo, Swarup and Aurora were in Denver together with members from Swanson and Molinero Groups to attend the ACS Fall 2024 meeting. Leonardo gave a great talk titled “Meta-analysis of the onset of critical micelle concentrations in liquid-liquid extraction and its impact upon solution stoichiometry and solute distribution coefficients” and Swarup presented a poster titled…
Congratulations, AJ, for finishing a very productive 10 weeks with us this summer! AJ completed his REU program on the 1st of August by presenting his poster titled “Arrangement and Behavior of Interfacial Hexanes.” He worked hard and learned a lot from his mentors, Josh and Aurora. Good luck with your next research endeavors, AJ!
The Clark group and members from Molinero and Swanson groups were in this year’s Gordon Research Conference: Water and Aqueous Solutions. Josh and Simantini presented their research in poster form and Aurora gave a talk titled “Toward a Holistic Understanding Water-in-Salt Systems”. In their free time, they explored the outdoors in New Hampshire and took…
Aurora, Yihui, and Jadon were in University of Chicago for the CECAM conference. Yihui presented his poster titled “Towards a Markov State Model for Understanding Cluster Transition Pathways in Concentrated Aqueous Electrolytes”.
Our post-doc Hemanth, together with our first-year grad students Ege and Jadon, were up in Boise for the i-CoMSE Molecular Dynamics Workshop in June 2024. Ege and Jadon learned cool new tricks to help them in their upcoming research journey, and Hemanth led a workshop on Force Field parametrization. In their free time, they got…
Aurora, Simantini, Jackson, Josh, and Yihui were all at the University of North Carolina at Chapell Hill for the annual American Conference on Theoretical Chemistry in June 2024. Simantini presented her work in her poster titled “Towards Understanding Ultrafast Dynamics in Concentrated Aqueous Electrolytes”, and Yihui presented a poster named “Towards a Markov State Model…
Our second-year grad students Simantini, Josh, and Jackson all crushed their pre-oral exams in the Spring of 2024 and are now one step closer to becoming PhD Candidates! Some great science is brewing in this group, and we are excited to see where it all leads to!
Yihui passed his proposal on 12.11.2023 and he is now officially a PhD Candidate! Good job Yihui!
Kudos to our second-year graduate students Josh, Jackson, and Simantini for doing a great job on their first formal PhD Seminars!
